Bellaire Real Estate
With its mixture of small town charm combined with a host of amenities, Bellaire in Houston is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in the area. Not only does the neighborhood offer a diverse array of residential choices, but it is also conveniently located near to downtown Houston as well as the Medical Center and the Galleria.
Thanks to a recent building boom, many of the older homes in the neighborhood of Bellaire have been replaced by new construction. With over 15,000 residents, Bellaire has come a long way from the 26 homes that were reported on the U.S. Census in 1919. As the number of residents continued to grow, so did the boundaries of the town. Any further expansion possibilities were halted in 1949, however, when the city of Houston annexed the land on three sides of the community with West University creating the fourth boundary.
