Hedwig Village Homes for Sale

Hedwig Village dates back to the 19th century, at which time Hedwig Road was constructed and passed through the area. This road was constructed in order to help a family of German immigrants farm the land. The name of Hedwig stuck and was later used to name the city when it was incorporated in 1954. By 1966, the community had a library, two schools and two churches. A city park soon followed in 1971. Today, the city operates its own police force and is home to the Village Fire Department, which provides services to all of the Memorial villages.
